The County of Elbanin is on the March
(EP) - Sources in the Count's court tell the IBS that the Count of Elbanin has order the
mobilization of his troops this morning. This mobilization comes on the heels of failed
negotiations with the neighboring County of Vilandar over the extradition of Elbanyr
soldiers accused of treason.
A few years ago, these soldiers, then in the services of The Thane of Mordane, a
tributarial province of Elbanin, marched with their liege on a campaign to aid the
Barony of Bradamonte, a tributarial province of Elbanin's rival Valindar, during the
siege of Gorram, Bradamonte's capital. The Count of Elbanin had forbidden any of his
vassal from rending aid in the conflict between the Barony Bradamonte and the Orcs
of the Tamaran Valley making this an act of treason according to Elbanyr law.
After months of negotiation, Valindar remains adamant in its refusal to turn these
soldier, who are viewed as heroes in Gorram and the greater realms of Bradamonte
and its feudal master Valindar. The County of Elbanin has called upon the empire to
arbitrate this dispute, but is mustering its troops to reclaim the traitors by force if
necessary.

The Battle of the Tamaran Vale
(EP) - Yesterday, the forces of Elbanin, Valindar, and a legion of Imperial soldiers met in
the Valley of Tamaran. After an entire day of grueling combat, a victor was finally
declared. To everyone's surprise, that victor was not flying the Imperial Flag.
The army of the Count of Valindar had made their camp deep in the Valley below.
Sources tell Eristonian Press that the General Holger, leader of the Valindaran army,
had some past dealings with the orcs that made their home in the valley. These may
be the same orcs that attack the Valindaran city of Gorram several years back, but
information on the subject remains sketchy at this time.
The forces of Elbanin and the Empire took up position on the mountains over western
looking the valley in Elbanyr territory. That night, a colonel with the imperial legions
and the regiment under his command committed high treason, leaving camp to aid the
orcs and soldiers in the valley below.
When the sun rose, the loyal forces of Elbanin and the Imperial legion found
themselves facing the combined forces of Valindar, the traitorous regiment and the
mercenary company know as the Sons of Fire. Heavy casualties were suffered by
both sides, but the results were clear - the Empire had been routed, facing its first
defeat since the Great War.

Treachery Knows No Bounds
(EP) - The Count of Valindar took time today to officially declare his independence
from the Empire of Eristonia.
The Empire refuses to acknowledge these claims of independence. In response,
Emperor Grigori II has ordered all Imperial soldiers, reserves, and auxiliaries report for
duty.
The provinces of Lecabela and Cutharne, neighbors of Valindar have sent emissaries
to Eriopolis to urge the Emperor to find a peaceful resolution to this conflict.
